And thus, this small chapter of blogging comes to an end.

ectes01.livejournal.com will probably never be updated again.

But as you know, there is now an alternative. Ectes.net is now open and I am posting content on a (hopefully) daily basis.

Unfortunately, not being a paid account holder, Im unable to syndicate directly to LJ, but there are RSS feeds sitting on my site, the URLS of which are published over there. (Unsure of RSS? Wiki it. And then subscribe to my feeds).

Ill still read my flist and comment in my usual style, so dont think Ive completely disappeared.

That is all.

Right, so this is probably the last time this journal will get a proper update.

Im at Acacias parents place atm, laying in a house bus watching Boston Legal. In amongst the crappy ads, that is.

My little laptop is working well on the wireless, which considering its history since I got it, isnt surprising.

There was something else I was going to mention, but I cant remember it...Oh well.

PS, in case I dont speak to you before I forget, Jess, good on you.

Left it too late to get tickets to Letter To Blanchy, so [info]bigdee and I will be going another night.Never mind.

It appears, to change subjects, that I cant get syndicated LJ accounts unless I have one of them paid or permenant accounts, which kinda makes it easier to know what Im going to do with this account...

What happens here after the 27th )

In other news, I am writing content slowly for the site, I got some comic stuff off to the artist yesterday and should be writing more during the coming days. Its all looking good for timing etc.

Thats all I can think of for now.

It is becoming less and less likely that Im going to be able to find a little script or hack that will enable me to combine the 4 feeds coming off ectes.net into one like I want. This irritates me. Having one feed which updates weekly was one of the main things I wanted to include, now it looks like it will be four seperate feeds which update whenever the associated blog is updated.

It's easier for me, sure, but I want to know how to do this other shit.

So, unless someone out there has any knowledge of how to get the above sorted (all four blogs are the latest version of WordPress and the forums arent helping me) then I'll have to settle for the four feed dealy.

Aside from that, all the other technical details for the site are sorted. Its now a matter of getting content. Joyous.

Fuck it. Four feeds. Its easier for me and thats all that matters right now. I need to focus on writing.

Site opens on ... 27th, I think I said. A post on what happens here will appear sometime before then.

Hokay.

Details for Letter To Blanchy.

Its at The Court Theatre which, from memory, is out the back of the Arts center.

Timings are: Mon & Thurs 6pm; Tues, Wed, Fri and Sat 7.30pm. It runs for approx two hours, including a 15 minute interval.

Prices are: $37 for adults or $23 for students, with current ID

Lemme know what times suit you guys (those who have already told me they are interested, and anyone else who is keen) and we'll go from there.

The show runs until 17 May, so we have a few weeks yet.

In other news, things are happening here at ectes01.lj.com.

Stay tuned for some kind of announcement in the near future about a new website.

So.

Years and years ago, there was a TV show that screened on TV1 called Letter To Blanchy. It starred Jon Gadsby, Peter Rowley and David McPhail, the last of which some of you might recognise as the infamous Mr Gormsby.

It appears there is a stage show here in Christchurch sometime in the near future (or immediate present, I cant remember) starring McPhail and Gadsby called Letter To Blanchy: Stir Crazy.

I deem this an appropriate excuse for an expedition to the theatre. Most, if not all of the flatmates here are keen. Who else?

If there is enough interest, Ill post more details here soon.

EDIT: On a related note, does anyone have a copy of said TV show? Or know where I can get one?

So, I have to buy this guy at work lunch next week.

That'll teach me to say "I bet you cant do 160 tasks today".

I gotta find people that wont take challenges like that seriously.

He decided that since food was involved, hed go and bust a nut. 200 tasks later and I have to go and get him BK this time next week.

Bah I say. Bah.

Annnnnnnnd here I am.

Today was a decent enough day. Got a new TB hard drive, paid off my laptop and had a nice sociable couple of hours at the pub. Its been a while since Ive felt like talking to random strangers like I was. Its quite refreshing.

The work bonus will be coming in within the next few months and hopefully what Ive heard about it is true. It should help pay off a bit more of that pesky CC debt.

Also, on a side note, I started writing shit tonight. For the first time in whats now going on 9 months.

Until next time, bye.
